TPS65270: Design Review

Part Number: TPS65270

Hi TI Team,

We are using TPS65270 for one of our designs.
Below are the specs:

Vin= 7V
Vout1 = 3.3V
Iout1 = 1.5A

Vout2 = 2.5V
Iout2 = 0.5A

The selected switching freq. is 625k as per the ref design, We have run the phase & cross-over freq analysis. I haven't altered any Compensation circuit component, this is the same as evb ref design.
Please help to review the result, and suggest if any changes are required.

We are in the analysis phase so, if everything is OK we will share the final schematics in this thread for review.

Thanks for the update.

Can you suggest what would be the ideal minimum and maximum phase and crossover frequency to choose for any application?

We attempted to back-calculate the values of L and C used in the reference design by using the formula provided in the datasheet. However, the calculated values were different from the ones used in the design. Can you explain why there is this variation? The same issue seems to be present in the compensation circuit as well. Is there anything that we might be missing?

About component selection, there will be a range external components. The equation gives the recommended value but it does not mean that for any design, only the values calculated from the equations are correct. For example, for TPS65270 inductor selection, the datasheet shows that LIR is normally from 0.1 to 0.3 for the majority of applications. (LIR is a coefficient that represents the amount of inductor ripple current relative to the maximum output current.) Thus, there will be a range for inductor value with different LIR.
