BQ25713: cannot enter OTG in Learn Mode

Hi Team,

my customer find there is large possibility that BQ25713 cannot enter into OTG mode when in learn mode and need to quit learn mode first. Please kindly add your comments on if there is relationship with OTG and Learn Mode.

Hi Given,

I would not be surprised about the finding. We suggest entering Learn mode or OTG mode starting from the default settings as initial conditions.

Hi, Given,

I checked on the EVM, the EN_OTG takes precedence over EN_LEARN. OTG can be enabled even if EN_LEARN=1.

Hi Tiger,

my customer feedback that during their test, only 5pcs in 800pcs cannot enter into OTG when in Learn Mode, the rest 795pcs can enter OTG from Learn Mode. based on discussed before, all pcs should not enter OTG. what's the reason on this? Thanks.

Hi Given,

I checked on the EVM, the EN_OTG takes precedence over EN_LEARN. OTG can be enabled even if EN_LEARN=1.

However, we still suggest the customer to disable learn mode when entering OTG mode.

Hi Given,

Could you do an ABA swap to see if this is related to the silicon? I would also like to confirm if the 5 pieces of silicon work on a standard TI EVM board.
