I purchased a TPS6594EVM board, and it able to read the TPS65941111's NVM via I2C address=0x4C. However, after enabling BUCK1 and BUCK5 through the GUI, the voltage readings for BUCK1 and BUCK5 are zero. Why might this be happening?

Hello PO CHUN,
Can you do me a favor, if you're able to give me a screen capture of your registers, like this?
I want registers 0x5A to 0x6C, before you try to enable either BUCK1 or BUCK5, thank you!
Pls check the setup photo:
I'm sorry this link doesn't work and will not be viewable through our proxy, could you post directly to the forum through an upload?

Hi Nicholas,
Below is default Register setting:
And next is enable BUCK1 and BUCK5:
Thx~
Morris
Hello Morris,
The interrupts indicate that there's an SPMI error (on register 0x67), which makes sense because the TPS65941111 is to be used in the secondary position in a multiple PMIC setup. It will not be able to turn on the BUCKs until this error is cleared which it won't until it is connected to the appropriate TPS6594. This is a bundle of the TPS65941212 & TPS65941111.
Are you to make your own programming or are they looking to just turn on the BUCKs for evaluation purposes?
BR,
Nicholas
We will use TPS65940400RWERQ1 for programming in the future, but now we want to enable BUCK1 and BUCK5, and there are still many functions to be verified on this EVM.
Hello PO CHUN,
You will have to reprogram the device, here's the binary for the TPS65940400, we refer to these as blanks.
https://e2e.ti.com/cfs-file/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/196/tps65940400_5F00_rev1bin.bin
The I2C address for the 0400 is 0x28, if GPIO10 is pulled high, then I2C address is 0x2C.
For ease of use, please clear all GPIO pins from any jumpers on J8, J9, & J10
Best Regards,
Nicholas
Hi Nicholas,
Noted and thanks.
I would like to use TPS6594EVM board + BIN file and burn into TPS65940400.
Do you think this is a good idea or could you pls give me some suggestion?
Thanks~
