Do the following ICs have short-circuit protection? Please explain how the IC would react if the output side were short-circuited.

For TPS548a29 7.3.8,, 7.3.9, and 7.3.10 sections cover the current limits. Figure 7.3, 8-32 and 8-33 shows the OC response

For TPS54625, please check https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/tps54625.pdf#page=8 section 11.6 on current protection which will kick in when the output is shorted.

For TPS51200, see Section 7.3.7 of the datasheet. Short on VO will cause the LDO to hit the overcurrent limit and the output voltage will fall below power good.
