BQ35100EVM-795: How to provide 100mv for 100ms

We are using BQStudio 1.3.101, EV2400, BQ35100EVM

1. Ater updating the ChemID in database, how to flash the new firmware to the BQ35100EVM hardware?

After that we want to get in to the EOS mode, We are able to set OP configuration A to EOS mode and send new battery command.

2. After that, what would be the best way to drop 100mv for 100ms at Batt+?

I am trying to get into EOS and read Scaled R and Measured Z values so that I can use it to detect end of life of a battery. I am refering to this document - How to Configure the BQ35100 for EOS Mode (ti.com)

Hi,

You can read measuredZ and Scaled R with these cmds.

Hi,

I am doing the same, however the values (scaled R and Measured Z) are not consistent for consecutive cycles (in an interval of 5min) for the same battery. (I had issued a reset command followed by unsealed commands between the 2 cycles of EOS)

Kindly help me with the same.

Oishi,

The BQ35100 is for primary cells (non-rechargeable), there are no cycles, if you are using a rechargeable battery this gauge will not work for your application.
