TPS6593-Q1: Buck enabled with GPIO

Part Number: TPS6593-Q1

Hi,

I want to know if I can enable, for example, Buck 1 with a GPIO input. The idea is that during the power-on sequence GPIO1 enables an external buck converter and the power-good signal from this regulator enables the PMIC's Buck 1 regulator using GPIO2 as an input. Maybe reading the status from GPIO2 I will be able to change the buck's registers and enable it.

Thank you for the support.

  • Hello Jorge,

Yes this is possible in both scenarios:

    1. A readback on the power up (transition) between states on the GPIO(s) can enable a BUCK to be used.

    2. A trigger to be associated once a device is in a state to enable a buck.

Please allow some time to show both ways in the GUI.

    BR,

    Nicholas
