Hi, team,

our customer has a question about BQ76942, When starting to balance a single string of batteries, the other string of batteries will be fault open due to system background, but the duration time is very short, only about 2 us, customer check the sample parameters and don't find any other abnormal phenomena.

And they want to know if there is any other potential risk?

I do not understand the question, what do you mean by "Fault open"?

2-us would be too short for any protections to trigger, so I do not expect any issues there.

I mean when starting the cell balance of a single string, the other string of batteries will also turn on cell balance accidentally, it is abnormal, but last only 2 us, customer would link to know if it will lead to some risk.

Do you have a scope shot of this?

I do not expect this is any issue however. Most VCx pins are high-voltage pins.
