Hi TI Team,

Currently i am using BQ7695202 for our BMS application. I am facing a issue of I2C communication break between BQ7695202 BMS IC & host microcontroller when we set the cell balancing of 9 cells. When start balancing of 1 cell then near about 70mA current is flow. When we set the cell balancing of 8 cells then no I2C communication break. But when we set the cell balancing of 9 or more cells then BQ7695202 IC break the I2C commuication with host microcontroller. At this time BQ7695202 IC temperature is 37 degree celcius. We don,t know why this is happening.

Please help us to resolve this issue.

Hello Deepak,

That sounds strange. Do you have any schematic I can review just to make sure all is okay? Do you have a logic analyzer of the transactions during this time?

Hello Deepak,

Something to notice, is that the device only supports balancing of up-to half of the cells, so at most 8 cells should be balanced at a time.
