For the BQ2575X family, 80µF is the minimum after derating for the input and output capacitance. 160µF of input and output capacitance is based on meeting a ±3% transient response requirement.
Keep in mind, you'll also need to balance the capacitors across the RBAT_SNS and RAC_SNS resistors. It doesn’t need to be 1:1 across the resistor. You'll also need a small MLCC decoupling cap close to the switching FETs for both the input and output. A 1µF cap should work here. This cap will help filter out high frequency noise from the switching converter.
This advice will apply to all parts in the BQ2575X family.
