TPS65219: Use LDO2 for powering VPP

Hello team,

My customer is considering to use AM62x with TPS6521904.
Then they are checking " Powering the AM62x with the TPS65219 PMIC" applicqation note (SLVAFD0B).

On the app note, VPP for AM62x is powered from TLV75518P, however, LDO2 from TPS65219 is available for free resources.
Can customer use LDO2 for powering VPP instead of using TLV75518P?

    Hi,

    Thank You for using E2E! None of the TPS65219 LDOs can be used to supply the processor VPP rail. The reason is because the VPP rail must be disabled by default and only turned ON during e-fuse programming. The PMIC has a Standby state but it can only be used to turn-OFF specific rails and not to turn them ON.

    This means, the PMIC can be programmed to keep one of the LDOs OFF by default but it doesn't have a digital pin that can be configured to turn-ON the LDO. Let us know if you have any questions.
