Regarding the conditions for switching to PFM mode of the TPS62A01, the data sheet stated that when the inductor current becomes discontinuous.
What is the definition of minimum on time and duty less than or equal to what percentage?

Hello Take,
Thank you for using E2E,
The mode of operation in TPS62A01 mainly depends upon output current and duty cycle. At lighter loads the device operates in the PFM mode to have lower switching frequency and higher efficiency.
Generally the TON = VOUT/VIN *1/SW frequency.
What is the definition of minimum on time and duty less than or equal to what percentage?
Can you please elaborate.
Thank you & regards,
Moheddin.
I have an additional question, with the condition of entering PSM mode.
The 2022 data sheet states that the peak inductor current of min is 0.4 a threshold
It has been removed from the 2024 datasheet.
Can you think that this value is also applicable to the 2024 version?
Hello Take,
The value is same for the 2024 version and will be available in the datasheet in the next update.
Thank you & regards,
Moheddin.
