Hi Expert,

My customer application is input：8-32V, charge Voltage：12.6V charge Current：5A.

The customer hopes that a short battery will not cause system shutdown and can continue to power the system.

I did not see any more information about battery short in the datasheet. Can you help me verify it?

In addition, if there is no battery, can the system provide VSYS voltage normally?

The system should work normally if there is no battery but the system will not work if the battery is shorted because the system power comes from the BAT.

Hi Darren, I don't think there is a solution for this. The system was designed in a way to shutoff the system in case of the shorted battery to protect the system.
