The client's project has utilized TI's key components and now requires TI's assistance in analyzing the circuit function of the LM5116 input terminal. The schematic diagram is as follows:

1. Please help confirm the basic functions of the input power supply (anti reverse, filtering, or other?)

2. Please help confirm the specific role of the components highlighted in red in this circuit

    Hello Jimmy 

    R1 protects the circuit from high input surge voltage (if any). T35 protects the circuit when the battery is reversely connected. D1 protects T35 gate. L1 works as a differential-mode input filter. D2 's function is over-voltage protection. 

    Customers are responsible for component selections and layout design, as well as validating and testing their design implementation to confirm system functionality.
