Hi, I am looking for a replacement L2 boost inductor on the reference design of the UCC28600 evaluation (Attached) and I would need help to determine the right boost inductor, the last boost inductor that I used was fried.
In this sense, will the part number HM78D-128221KLFTR, manufacturer BI Technologies / TT Electronics be suitable to replace the L2 - Xfmr, boost inductor, 232 mH, 1.122 x 1.122 inch Cooper Electronic Technologies CTX16-17298? If not, kindly recommend the right boost inductor.
Kind regards,
Bright
Hi Bright,
Thank you for reaching out.
I think it should be possible to use the suggested alternate. Since this needs an aux winding along with the inductor it might difficult to get off the shelf part.
You can try checking the below part as well:
PFC3125ER-231K06B-00
As this more a PFC query related to UCC28051, if further help is needed could post query referring to UCC28051 part?
Regards,
Harish
Hi Harish,
Thank you for the email.
The suggested part number CTX16-17298 is obsolete and the part number that you sent is not available.
Kind regards,
Bright
Hi Bright,
Thank you for reaching out.
Unfortunately I am not aware of any off the shelf part. I think we can send the part number to magnetics vendors and they can make a new custom part for you similar to the obsolete ones.

Harish
Hi Harish,
Thank you for your earlier suggestion, I have search for UCC28051 thread and I have seen a part number UCC28056 PFC that does not require coupled inductor.
Kind regards,
Bright
