Hi,

It is recommended to connect NC pins of LDO to large plane areas. So is it advisable to connect it to Ground Plane?

Also at what time instant will the LDO begin to limit current as soon as it detects 3.36A?

    Hi Sharadhi,

    1) Yes, we recommend connecting the NC pins to the GND plane.

    2) As a rule of thumb, the current limit protection circuit in modern LDO's engages around 50us.  We don't have this characterized for this LDO, or most of our LDO's, as the protection circuit just needs to be as fast as necessary to protect the LDO.
