Hi expert,

Can I know will TPSI3050 suitable to drive an SCR like TN3050H-12GY-TR?

Do you know how to consider the gate drive voltage and how to determine whether the power is enough? I notice in the SCR datasheet, the Average gate power dissipation is 1W, seems much higher than our power capability, but not sure if it is just a peak power.

    Thanks for reaching out to our team on E2E! You can use the calculator tool to check if the TPSI305x-Q1 is suitable for your requirements. I entered the TN3050H-12GY-TR characteristics below, only thing I wasn't sure about was tEN so I assumed 100 µs. You can adjust this depending on what you need, it will mainly scale the CDIVx values. Longer tEN --> larger CDIVx in order to limit the droop.
