if designer only use OUTx1 pin in hardware and software. how to deal with OUTx2 pin? leave open or other ways?
if OUTx2 leave open, whether is any faults or warning reported?

Hi Jay,
If OUTx2 is left open, it will cause the GM_FAULT and noise can also couple in and cause issues.
You can still connect all the outputs together. I assume that the customer does not want to use all of the drive strength available, so they don't want to use the other output.
If you see below, they can set the GDx to 011 and then the driver will only use OUTx1 to source and sink the current.

do you mean the following connection solution? even if OUTx2 isn't used, OUTx2 still should be connected with OUTx1. right?

That is correct! Below is an example of what happens when GDx is set to 000. Even if all resistors are connected, it will only use the outputs that are selected in the GDx truth table.
