BQ34Z100EVM: Evaluation board replacing BQ34Z100-G1 with BQ34Z100-R2

Hello,

I bought the evaluation board listed on the BQ34Z100-R2 page, BQ34Z100EVM. I received the part, started reading the User's Guide and I see that the BOM on the evaluation board has a BQ34100PW-G1 IC on it.

Since I am evaluating the -R2 can I remove BQ34Z100-G1 on the evaluation board and put in a -R2 part? When I go to the BQ34Z100-G1 page it says that BQ34Z100-R2 is a drop in replacement.
