TPS62933F: EN and VIN pin shorted

Hi support team,
This is a question about TPS62933FDRLR.

If 2pin (EN) and 3pin (VIN) are short-circuited, it is assumed that a voltage exceeding the maximum rated voltage of 2pin (EN), 6[V], will be applied.
Is there any possibility of fire or smoke occurring at this time?
VIN voltage is 24V.

Are there any devices that take measures against short-circuiting of pins adjacent to VIN, where the maximum rating of the pin adjacent to VIN is set higher than VIN?

    Hi Dice

    We recommend using the device within the maximum rate, do not apply voltage larger than the EN_max. 

    We do not have device that has adjacent pin with larger maximum rating than Vin.  TPS54202 has SW adjacent with Vin, which has same max rating as Vin.

    Thank you for your reply.

    I have understood as below.

    If the absolute maximum ratings are exceeded, there is a possibility of destruction.
    There is no quantitative information on how many voltages will cause ignition or smoke to be applied.

    There is an LMR33620 whose EN pin, which is adjacent to VIN, has a withstand voltage of "VIN + 0.3V".
    There is an LMR43620 whose EN pin, which is adjacent to VIN, has the same withstand voltage as VIN.
    Devices with large EN withstand voltages such as LMR33620 and LMR43620 are more expensive than TPS62933F.

    The price may not directly resulted from the EN pin voltage level as you stated, it depends to many other characteristics. 

    LMR33620 and LMR43620 has higher Vinmax.
