TPS22921: Possibility of sneak current from the output side to the ON pin

Guru 19645 points
Part Number: TPS22921

If sneak current occurs from VOUT or GND of TPS22921, is there any possibility or route for the current to flow to the ON pin?

The input to ON is directly connected to the LDO (with capacitor), but there is a phenomenon where the voltage rises slightly before the LDO turns on.

Best regards,

Satoshi

  • Hello Satoshi-san,

Are you referring to the quiescent current or shutdown current? Could you clarify under what conditions you would want to know where the current is going? I inserted below what the quiescent and shutdown current would be for different test cases.

    Thank you,

    Sam

  • Hi Sam,

    Thank you for reply,

Vout rises slightly before ON startup, and I was investigating where this was coming from.

①ON, ②Vout, Vin is already supplying at 1.1V.

I'm also guessing that it may be looping around from the output side (DRAM).

    Best regards,

    Satoshi

  • Hello Satoshi-san,

Thank you for your information. Can you also provide a waveform for Vin?
Also, can you try removing the switch and checking if the output rises the same way?

    Thank you,

    Sam
