TPS7A66-Q1: Can we connect CT pin to GND?

Part Number: TPS7A66-Q1

We propose TPS7A66-Q1 to replace LN20042Q1. So we need to connect CT pin to GND for directly replacement. Customer don't need to use PG function.

Could you please help check any risk?

  • Hi Aki,

I tested this scenario on the EVM and the device works normally except that the 1uA current that normally charges the CT capacitor just sinks to GND. PG never asserts high in this scenario so as long as they don't have a pull up resistor on PG, the only difference is the 1uA current.
