UCC25800-Q1: Can you use a BJT on the DIS/FLT pin to pull it down?

Hi all,

My customer was wondering if they can just a BJT to pull down the DIS/FLT pin and will that cause any issues? They want to pull it down with a BJT so they can disable the power supply when they want to.

Lauren,

Of course, just make sure the BJT is driven fully to saturation and the Vsat is guaranteed less than 1.53V (worst case disable threshold)....should be easy.
