BQ24610 TS pin issue,

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24610

Hi

I am worked with BQ24610. I am given the input voltage 18 v and getting   system voltage 18V. As par evaluation board i am  getting all the voltages correct  on  IAset,Iset1,Iset2 pins. But when i am connect the battery i got 10V Vbat for some time.(R25=470k) But after 2-3 min Vbat goes to 0.9 volt.I connect the JP1 (jumper) to pin 1-2 and also check for 2-3 But same results occurs. My STAT1 and STAT2 led's are also don't glow.If I connect fully charged 12 v Battery then D3 is glowing but stat1 and stat2 are not glowing.  If anyone knows about this problem please told me.

Thanks and regard

  • Hi,

I am confused when you are talking about JP1 and R25, can you please send a schematic to look at.

Can you please verify the voltage at Vfb and TS pins. The STAT1 &2 should not be ON at the same time, it is undefined state.

Does your battery have some kind of protective circuitry that prevents the normal charging of the IC?

Some wave forms will be appreciated too…

    Thanks

  • Hi

    Thanks for the reply
