BQ769142: Connection of REGIN to Ground

Part Number: BQ769142

If REGIN and BREG pins are connected to the ground, then is it possible that there will be a short circuit upon powering BAT+ and BAT- (naming based on reference design)? Because in my circuit when I supply 30V from the power supply at a max limit of 0.7A the circuit goes into CC

  • Hello Gurkiratsingh,

No, that shouldn't be possible. BREG is disabled by default on this device, and REGIN is an input, so there should be no problem if these are to Vss.

What to do with unused pins is described in Table 16-3. Terminating Unused Pins of the datasheet.

    Best Regards,
