Hi,
I am developing a board that has the main power supply and the backup battery also, in case the main power supply gets deep discharged. Here the main power supply is a 20S battery pack.
The idea is that my design contains a +5V Buck converter, which powers the device and also charges a battery through a charger IC. So when power runs out the boost of the charger IC is supposed to kick in +5V so that the +5V bus in the board stays up and keeps the device powered up.
So I came across the IC BQ25616, in which the datasheet says that this IC has:
-- 5-V boost converter with up to 1.2-A output
-- 92% boost efficiency at 1-A output
Is this particular IC will fit best for my application?
