TPS2597: PSpice simulation

No, you don't need pspice for TI to open the files. You should be able to open the files in Orcad PSpice (Capture cis tool).

I am not sure what exact steps you followed but I was able to open the spice model after downloading it from ti.com and unzipping it. Did you unzip the files? You can load .opj file in the software. Which exact software and version are you using?

I used orcad 17.4-2019 to open the model. Can you share your version also. If there is an issue with that version then it will be helpful if we are aware of it.

I am using the same version Orcad 17.4-2019 P001. Do these files require access to any folders that require administrator privileges? I do not have administrator privileges.

Hi Darrell,

I don't think you require admin permissions. Can you try opening another device model. You can try TPS2595 or TPS25947 model to check if you can open them or not. You can also try pspice for TI just to check if it can open in your system or not. I personally prefer OrCAD over pspice for TI. Are you opening .opj file?

I tried the TPS259520 and it worked but I received this error when I opened it. I am using the .opj file to start the simulations. I'm waiting for IT to install PSpice for TI so I can try it.

I am able to run it on PSpice for TI so that is what I will use.
