EV2400: Work with BQ20Z65 series IC

To whom it may concern:

Just want to check if EV2400 can work with BQ20Z65 (series) IC properly. Also, could you share the list of the fuel gauge ICs that EV2300 can work with but not EV2400?

To my understanding, EV2400 should be fully backward compatible. Just want to confirm.

Hello Chen,

You should be able to use the EV2400 with the bq20z65 gauge. You will just need to download and install SLUC291 to enable the EV2400 to work with older devices and bqEVSW (see image below from the EV2400 product page).

Thank you very much. It works as expected now.

We do have further question about EV2400 with BQ20Z65 in production. Based on our recent test, EV2400 has some compatibility issue with HPA169 and BQTester. Do you know if this can also solve this issue? Or we need some new calibration board to work with EV2400?

BQTester and HPA169 are no longer supported by TI.

Hello Chen,

The EV2400 is not a production level tool. We currently do not have any production level tools that replace the two aforementioned tools.
