TPS40055: can it behave as two quadrant current source/sink?

Part Number: TPS40055

Tool/software:

I found the TPS40055 to have "two-quadrant" source/sink mode (datasheet page 8), how does this device behave when Vo is pulled higher than programmed?

Will it act as a current sink while still regulating the output voltage?

I need a regulator that regulates its output voltage even if the output is pulled higher than the set-point. So basically a two-quadrant regulator.

Q1: Vin=30V, Vout=9V, current positive (source, out of regulator into load)

Q2: Vin=30V, Vout=>9V, current negative (sink, into regulator to gnd)

I do not have experience with this device, so any help is welcome,

thanks in advance!
