TPS25730EVM: Operation under /FAULT_IN=Low

Part Number: TPS25730EVM

Tool/software:

Dear Team,

While VBUS votlage is available at Type-C Receptable, but VIN_3V3 is not available and the TPS25730D operates the dead-battery mode, when /FAULT_IN pin of the TPS25730D is set Low by prssing SW5 (Rev.A1 EVM) / SW1 (Rev.A2 EVM ?) continuously, what operation does the TPS25730D do?

We thoought that the TPS25730D keeps disconncting power-path (VBUS_IN to PPHV) under /FAULT_IN=Low. However, according to my customer, the TPS25730D continuously disconnects and restarts under /FAULT=Low.

When /FAULT_IN is set Low, is Internal 3.3V LDO, LDO_3V3, disabled too? Since the LDO_3V3 is lost under /FAULT_IN=Low, does the TPS25730D continuously disconnect and restart?

When /FAULT_IN is set Low, what functions of the TPS25730D will be disabled?

Best Regards,

Koshi Ninomiya
