BQ25798: The value of resistor connected to the BATP

Hi Team,

It is written in the datasheet that, "Place100Ω series resistance between this pin and the battery positive terminal".

I saw on another E2E that this resistor can protect the battery from short circuit issue. It seems that a larger resistor can limit the current more effectively.

Will replacing this resistor with a larger value (like 240ohm) have any other effects?

    HI Adrian,

    Possibly. No higher than 100 Ω is recommended because the BATP pin pulls uA of current into the SDRV charge pump when only battery is connected.  We do not want more and have not tested for a higher voltage drop on that resistor.
