TPS6521905-Q1: Enable/Disable the individual power output

Part Number: TPS6521905-Q1

Tool/software:

Can  the LDO or BULK be enabled  respectivly and dynamically?i mean, if now the controller who uses TPS6521905-Q1 is running, can one of the bulk or LDO can be enabled/disabled  and later disabled/enabled.

and  in chapter 7.6 NVM Programming, it said that " The EEPROM of a device can only be programmed up to 1000 times. ",  if we enabled/disable one bulk or LDO by write ENABLE_CTRL,  we can only write 1000 times? or we can write ENABLE_CTRL many times , but can save the new values into the NVM memory 1000 times at most?

Thank you !

  • Hi,

Thanks for reaching out. Yesterday was a US holiday. We will take a look at the questions and provide an update within 24Hrs.

    Thanks,

    Brenda

  • Thanks for your patience as we return from the holiday. All the PMIC Bucks and LDOs can be enabled/disabled multiple times during operation by wiring to the "ENABLE_CTRL" register with I2C communication.

The comment about "1000 times" in the programming guide is referring to the limit on the amount of times that default values can be re-programmed in the actual NVM memory.

    Thanks,

    Brenda
