BQ78350-R1: Issues using GPC tool

Part Number: BQ78350-R1

Tool/software:

Dear I am trying to use the "Gauging Parameter Calculator (GPC) Tool", to calibrate the cedv voltages. I have executed 6 measurements and prepared a package through battery management studio.

However the calculator returns everytime an error. Battery management studio however does not report an error and can create the package that needs to be submitted.

Can you have a look at what we are doing wrong here?

Error code:

The file that is being used:6366.GPCPackaged.zip

Best regards,

Jan

  • Hey Jan,

I am currently looking into this for you.

  • Hey Jan,

Please review your excel files. I looked over a few and there was weird jumps in voltages that should not be happening which is causing this issue. I would review the files you submitted and address those issues. Also, remove Processing Type line from the config file.

    Regards,

    Nick Richards

  • Hey Nick,

Can you point to an example of the jumps in the voltages? Then I can have a look. Did you see this happening in all the files? I do remember that during one of the measurements there was a communication issue with the tool and it caused for some corrupted data i think.

  • Hey Jan,

This is from hightemp_highrate.csv. This is a graph of voltage, as you can see there is anomaly in the data.

  • Hey Nick,

Thank you very much, the issue is solved now.

We have manually adjusted those values. However the program still failed. Then my colleague wrote a script which highlighted all values that deviated more then 100mV and we found a couple more spikes, after adjusting these too it looks like that the program can accept the data.

Later on we will investigate what went wrong with those samples and a new more accurate test. For now the collected data will be sufficient.

    Thanks for the help!

    Best regards,

    Jan
