TPS74401: Measurement points for soft-start time

Hi team,

We plan to compare the measured soft-start time with the design value.

What is the range of the soft start-time listed in the data sheet? Could you please tell me the start and end cursor positions when measuring with an oscilloscope?

For example,

Vout: 0% -> 100%?

Or

Vout: 0% -> 95%?

Or

Something else?

Please respond with the questions by May 29, 2024.

    Hi Masahito,

    See section 7.5.1 in the datasheet (copied below).  In equation 2, set Vout(nom) to your value of output voltage to determine your startup time.  The LDO is charging up an external capacitor on the SS pin using an internal constant current source, so this turn on time is from Vout = 0V to Vout = Vout(nom).
