Our customer use TPS65983B on docking application. They have a new issue: charging process will be terminated when connecting to LV L14 gen4 laptop. We think that might be OCP because we modify peak current setting to 150% or short external Rsense will fix the issue.
1. Customer monitor current and see the max current might be around 5.6A. Is this ok at 20V5A 130% peak current PDO?
2. Customer want to find a event when OCP happened.
a. GPIO event P5V Overcurrent Evenet: they see this event will be trigger when PP_EXT OCP too but can't be clear before reset TPS65983B. Is this event used for PPEXT OCP too?
b. Overcurrent status at register 0x14 byte 2 bit 0: the bit will be change to 1 when customer use eload to drain 6A (20V5A PDO). But it will keep 0 when Vbus is drop to 0 / CC reconnect LV laptop issue.
Is there any GPIO or I2C event can be use for monitoring 983B OCP issue at PPEXT, or any other thing we have to check at the issue?
