If automotive qual Q1 is not need take a look at BQ25170.

Thanks for your reply, my customer want to select one device for automotive T-Box battery.

Charge ICs for power adapter algorithms such as lithium-ion batteries, lithium iron phosphate batteries, and nickel-metal hydride batteries, which one is most used on T-BOX? (They would like to use to evaluate which battery power solution fits the mainstream needs of the market) . Thanks.

Did some checking, below feedback:

1.) See Li-ion mostly (probably 50% of the time).

2.) LiFePO4 and NiMH are used as cheaper options that are also better in high temps (e-call system gets hot by the windshield).

3.) I’d say these are used evenly (25%, 25%)

The BQ25171-Q1 will charge NiMH, 1-4 cells.  Along with Li-Ion and LiFePO4.

Also the BQ25172 is only a NiMH charger -- 1-4 cells.
