BQ25792EVM: Autodetect on D+D- do not start automatically

Dear Support team,

I'm evaluate the BQ25792EVM powerd from external USB power adapter and the USB detect do not start automatically when plug the USB connector.

The D+ and D- remain low but is I check "Force d+ d- detection" a detection is performed.  

I have also attached the configuration of the EVB; can you tell me if there is a missng configuration to start automatically the D+ D- autodetect ?

On the data sheet of the component is showed:

where is reported a DCP with 3,25A capability but the BC1.2 standard the max current is 1,5A; can you explain ?

    HI Stefano,

    Autodetect only functions on VBUS1/VAC1.  Were you using VBUS2/VAC2 input?

    Hi Jeff,

    thank you for answer.

    I'm plug the power supply into the USB connector and I have shorted  JP3- JP4 and JP7 is shorted to USB_VIN-VAC1
    I have shorted also JP4 because find on the data sheet : "Connect to VBUS if the ACFET2 and RBFET2 are not installed."

    The highlighted header connections below should allow for auto d+d-.

    Hi Jeff, yes the issue is related to JP4, must be removed. Thank you for the support .

    What about the different current showed in BC1.2 and DCP showen in data sheet after secondary detection ?

    Hi Stefano,

    CDP does not complete unless the USB host enumerates immediately after CDP detection.  If  IINDPM=3.25A is too high after DCP detect then you can use ILIM_HIZ resistors to clamp IINDPM to 1.5A.

    Hi Jeff, 

    ok then tf the BQ detect a DCM, my host rewrite the current limit at 1,5A.

    Now I'm checking some USB adapter and I'have some trouble but I prefer open another question.
