If I don't use the RDY pin, can I just leave it open or should I always use a pull-up resistor?

Hi Andreas,

I would recommend to plan the pull up resistor to VCC in the layout, even if you are not using it, and leave it DNI. As its open drain pin, RDY can be left open.

But monitoring RDY helps to understand if there are any UVLO condition exists in the system.
