I have a question about Thermal Regulation Loop (9.3.1.1 from datasheet).
Customer use case:
VIN = 24V
ILIM=1.99A
Cout = 9mF
So, my customer has estimated the power dissipation during start up to be PD(inrush)=0.5*24*1.99=23.88W.
It will go thermal shutdown in 40ms according to Fig 7-13.
However, Thermal Regulation Loop (9.3.1.1 from datasheet) states that it will automatically regurate the inrush current to avoid thermal shutdown.
Will it avoid thermal shut down in this customer use case?
