BQ25750: Pin 17 (Mode) definition vs EVAL module

Hello,

I am currently designing with the BQ25750 ,and I am following the EVAL module for my design.

The BQ25750 datasheet says Pin 17 is a PGND pin, but the EVAL module notes it as a MODE pin and connects it through a 3.0kΩ resistor to GND.

Which one of these implementations should I follow?

Thanks for working with this part. You should follow the datasheet in the event of a discrepancy. Please connect pin 17 to GND.

I've run into the same issue. I'll follow the recommendation, but wanted to note that in the Functional Block Diagram on page 21 of the datasheet, there also appears to be a MODE pin that is otherwise not mentioned. This really needs to be clarified in the documentation.

I think my strategy will be to design that path with a 0Ω jumper to GND, just in-case.

Sorry I didn't see your messages until now. Thanks for bringing page 21 to our attention. We will work on clarifying that in the documentation.

For pin 17, a trace to GND or a 0Ω jumper will both work.
