BQ7718: Ground Disconnect during Fault Event

Hello,

We need to use a power MOSFET to block over-charge, but allow discharge.

To accomplish this, we need to disconnect the ground of the BQ7718 in fault condition.

Will this work?  Or could it damage the IC?  (schematic provided)
