TPS22811: Maximum Load Current

I was wondering if I could use this load switch at 10A? Would this destroy the device or reduce its useful life?

    Hi Curtis,

    Yes, the device can support maximum 10A current. If you ensure that the junction temperature is within 125C during steady state operation, then the device life won't be affected. 

    (Basically, as long as the operating conditions are within the recommended operating conditions, the reliability and functionality are maintained, between recommended and absolute, all functionalities cannot be guaranteed, beyond absolute max, device will get damaged)
