Hi,

I am trying to design a battery simulator as mentioned in your paper A Simple Battery Simulator (ti.com).

I also have ordered BQ40Z50EVM-561 and EV2400 for testing.

Now I am trying to test it but I am not able to make the connection from BQ40Z50EVM-561 to EV2400 and from EV2400 to the bq40z50 Battery Management Studio software.

Also as per the bq40z50EVM Quick Start Guide, I am not able to find the latest firmware version on the EV2400.

Please could you provide me some inputs about this issue?

Hi,

I updated latest firmware version on EV2400.

But when I am trying to run the BQstudio software by connecting the bq40z50EVM to EV2400, I could see for few seconds the connection to bq40z50EVM but then it disappears. But at least I could see the updated firmware version.

why it is so? Could you please tell me?

Hello Tejashree,

Does the EVM autodetect when you open BQStudio? So does the home view pop up and you can see all the registers for the gauge but then everything grays out after a few seconds?

Actually the BQStudio should automatically detect the connected gauge i,e bq40z50EVM-561 via EV2400 right?

but it is not auto detecting it. Could you please tell me why?

Hey Tejashree,

Can you send me a picture of the EVM setup. I want to verify that everything is connected correctly and the gauge is powered up properly.
