TPS1663: Updated certificate to EN IEC 62368-1:2020 + A11:2020

Part Number: TPS1663
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS25947, TPS25946, TPS2597

Tool/software:

Hi, we're using the eFuses of series TPS2660x and TPS1663x  and for our productsm normally 24V, 2A to archive PS2 level.

Did this in the past according to IEC 62368-1:2014.

But now we are forced to switch to IEC 62368-1:2020, where other test cycles are required from our understanding.

Are there updated files/certificates for the 2020 version? If yes, where to find.

Thank you very much.

  • Hi Christoph,

We don't have latest files since we have not seen request from customers till now.

  • Hi Kunal,

sorry for the uncorrect question, the correct version we require is: IEC62368-1:2018(3rd), not 2020!

Can you please check again? Thank you.

We also checked your forum. There are a lot of requests like "IEC62368-1:2018(3rd) CB Certified Report requested".This 2018 is suffient for us.

Thats excatly what we require. After some checkings with the design team, we would require the certificat IEC62368-1:2018(3rd) CB for one of the following chips :

    - TPS26600RHFR

    - TPS26600RHFT

    - TPS26602RHFR

    - TPS26602RHFT

You can also see my forum question 2 years ago:

    e2e.ti.com/.../tps2660-iec-62368-certificate-missing-for-download

That time the certificate was for IEC 62368-1:2014.We now required the 2018 version.

An other options, but with high potential to fail on our side is a complete redesign. But if there is no other option,  please provide us an information, what other eFuse can be used instead, with the parameters:

    - minimum 30V voltage

    - minimum of 2A current limit

    - reverse current protection

    - inverted polarity protection

    - PGODD/FAIL and ENABLE/SHUTDOWN signals.

    - Softstart with auto-retry

    - UVLO and OVP

  • Hi Christoph,

Right now only TPS25947, TPS25946, TPS25210, TPS2597 are IEC62368-1 3rd edition. For old devices we will consider your feedback and plan on upgrade.
