The DTRC bit in the Flags B register indicates when a Remaining Capacity Adjustment is made due to a change in temperature. How does this bit set/clear correspond to the temperature changes? Does the bit toggle everytime an adjustment is made to RemCap, or does it only set? If it only sets, when does it clear after being set?

Hi,

I believe this bit is set if RemainingCapacity() changes due to temperature any time a simulation is ran and will clear if the RemaingCapacity() has not been affected by temperature since the last simulation.

But I will need to verify with my team.

Thank you Evan..to be clear on the simulation, this simulation is run when the battery is determined to be in a RELAXED state and projects how much capacity would have to be discharged to reach the set voltage threshold that indicates discharge cut-off correct?

Hi Elliot,

Simulations are ran at many points but yes this will happen when the battery is in a relaxed state and will estimate Rem Cap and FCC.

We are polling the DTRC bit every 100ms to see if a RemCap adjustment is occurring due to a temperature change. Is this a sufficient polling speed based on how often remcap simulations are run?
