UCC24624: The max junction temperature of UCC24624

Hi team,

My customer wants to make sure why the recomended and max junction temperature is both 125 degree C.

What if they want to use them under 125 degree C operating temperature? Looks like there will be some temperature rise and they want to know our recommendations. Do we have similar device with higher junction temperature capability?

Hello,

The customer does not have to use the device at 125 degree C. They can use it less than the maximum of 125 C. However, if they want to run the maximum junction at 125 C they can.

My question is, what about the ambient temperature is 125 degree C? Then the junction temperature might exceed our spec, right?

Do we have another device that can support higher temperture?

Hello,

You should not exceed the maximum junction temperature. You are correct, the ambient temperature is 125 C you will exceed the maximum junction temperature. TI does not have an LLC controller can support a maximum junction temperature greater than 125 C.
