LP8733: PMIC (LP87334D): Sequencing and PGOOD Signal

Our client has asked certain doubts regarding the PMIC which manages the system power flow. We are using AM2431BSDFHIALVR IC. 

1. What is the default power up sequence for the LP87334DRHDR IC and is it advisable to go ahead with the default sequence for the MCU?

2. In case if the power sequence has to be changed, how to do it? Any application notes available for the same?

3. How PGOOD signals behaves during power up and power down?

Please do help us to get clarity on the above queries.

    Hi Anandhu,

    The specific power sequence information can be seen on page 4 of the TRM linked here, other register and settings can be seen in this TRM as well.

    Table 2-5 on page 3 of this TRM lists the settings for the PGOOD.

    If you want to change the power sequence you will need to make sure the device is not enabled first, then make changes to the corresponding start up and shut down delays as desired:

    It's important to note that you will need to do this each time the device is reset or powered off and then on again. 

    The PGOOD detailed operation information can be found on the datasheet on page 30 linked here.
