TPS54227: Short circuit between VIN and VBST

What happens if the VIN pin of the TPS54227DDAR is accidentally shorted to the adjacent VBST pin?

Will the IC stop working?

Will VIN become an output?

Since this is not the intended operation, can it not be specified?

If VIN is shorted to VBST, the device may damage so the IC will stop working. Thanks.

Even though VIN and VBST are both within the absolute maximum ratings, could shorting VIN and VBST cause damage to the device?

Hi Dice-K,

Yes, the short to adjacent pin is a different issue with absmax rating.
