UCC28710: Calculation of primary magnetizing inductance using sluc590

Part Number: UCC28710
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PMP10816,

Tool/software:

1. This webpage indicates that the maximum supported output voltage is 24V. But PMP10816 uses the IC for generating 48V output.

Why is there a mismatch? Also, webench designer doesn't allow selecting an output value beyond 25V.

Is it okay to use this IC for 58V output requirement?

2. On the calculation tool, I tried to reproduce the value for the primary magnetizing inductance (90uH) of flyback transformer in the PMP10816 design. I get around 33uH for fswmax of 92KHz (typical value as given in the datasheet) and around 90uH for fswmax = 45KHz (From the Vds waveform at Vin min and full load in test report).

Other parameters that were kept constant:

Dmag = 0.425.

Vin min = 90VAC.

Which value of switching frequency is correct (and why)?

The formula used seems to be different from the one used by Webench.

I consider using this IC for a 58V/180W design with a PFC front stage and try to verify my transformer design with this tool.

Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks.
