I am looking for a 2s battery protection circuit with temperature protection with BQ29209 features. It may even include a 2s battery equalizer feature.

The best option is BQ76905 it offers:

- Battery monitoring capability for 2-series to 5- series cells.

- Extensive protection suite including voltage, temperature, current, and internal diagnostics.

- Host-controlled cell balancing

This device does require an MCU to program the settings and with your needed settings/configurations and to control cell balancing.

Is there an ic for li-ion and li-po batteries that does not require mcu?

Hello,

BQ77307 would be the next option. In order to get any custom settings a new spin would be required. This device however, does not have cell balancing.
