Tool/software:

I'm designing a USB PD application board with TPS65987DDK.

The capability is DRP sourcing device with supporting DP alt mode. TBT and USB4 are not supported.

How should I configure Tx Identity field in this case?

I'm not sure how many valid VDOs should have. Are there any example pjt or document?

Please see this application note on DisplayPort:

The TX Identity field contents are reported by the UFP when the DFP (far-end device) sends a Discover Identity command. Typically, 3 valid VDOs should be sufficient (see the PD messages below for an example)

I'll apply 3 VDOs.

By the way, Is it OK to use TI vendor ID 0x0451 and product ID 0x1234 for my products?

Our company doesn't have vendor ID and we don't plan to get certification thus we'd like to use the default TI values.

Do I need a contract or fee with TI?
